Flip Side of Life

What once were

washboard

abs,

have become

love handle

slabs.

Where once were

rock hard

pecs,

now sagging

man tits

flex.

Skin that was

supple and

tan,

is now that

of some old

man.

I’m looking

more like my

dad, but

the mirror

says, “Don’t be

sad.

“You survived

youth’s wild

ride, and

have made it

to the flip

side.”
