My Website, My Self, and My Ride
Blue Sea Glass is the space where I weave tales of
adventure, share musings, and delve into the enchanting world of nature: human, as well as, Mother. Here, visitors are invited to journey together with me through the realms of creativity, imagination, and diversity - and, in so doing, perhaps catch a peek into my mind, and a glimpse into the unique tapestry of my life.
I am a career military veteran. After leaving the service, I pursued and received a graduate degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. A life changer, this feat launched me into a second career as an Adjunct Professor of Writing and Literature. Now retired, I work at home on a plethera of ongoing writing projects. When not writing, I may be found in the garage restoring, renovating, and maintaining my vintage ride, Kaspar, a 1970 VW Westfalia (campervan). On days when we are simultaneously up and running, and in fine tune, we most likely are at any one of the many scenic beaches along the southwest shore of Florida.
Before settling on Florida's southwest shore, I spent a four-year stint in the Florida Keys living aboard my motor yacht, MV Spiritu. I look back to those years as having been my “pirate phase.” The Keys provided a wealth of inspiration, and are where I wrote well over a thousand poems and dozens of short stories, a sampling of which has found its way into this website.
