Wizard of La La Land

Taking a trip to La La Land.

Feel a need to get away.

It’s a make-believe journey,

how long I cannot say.

I have no clue how far it is,

or the way that I must go.

I’m hoping once I get there,

that somehow, I will know.

I have often heard that

La La Land is not a place,

but a sickness of one’s mind -

to go there's a disgrace.

I’ve no cause to doubt them,

but I must see for myself.

Nothing sick about my mind.

It’s home, safe on a shelf.

So, off I go to La La Land,

to live my life pretending.

I hope this mindless journey,

may be never ending.
