Reflections of Me: My Space

Enamel terra cotta
burgundy and blue,
green leafy plants,
pictures of you;
Bamboo tubes hung
freely by string,
silently waiting for
wind to sing;
Splashes of rainbow
cover each wall,
paintings of passion,
of having a ball;
Table for drawing,
easel with paints,
desk under clutter,
more naked saints;
Corner computing,
ceiling to floor,
books and candles,
no room for more;
Lamps of hot lava,
mica, and steel,
amber ambiance
with warm appeal;
Posters of models,
sketches of nudes,
art’s spoken here -
no place for prudes;
Mugs with brushes,
pencils, and pens,
vials of oils for
massaging friends;
Large comfy bed
with pillows galore,
heavy comforter
touching the floor;
TV on nightstand,
movies, and more,
specialty items for
whatever’s in store;
Vaulted ceilings
with windows high,
let in the sun and
starry night sky;
Peaceful, serene,
far from the race,
reflections of me -
this is my space.
